Comer and Hanby, Inc. was established in 1953 by Clayton Comer and Floyd Hanby. They had a small warehouse at the Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington and were exclusively selling Dubarry Gloves, Marcelle Cosmetics, and American Pharmaceuticals. Over the years they added to their lines, grew to cover four states, and expanded the company personnel (many of which were member of their own families). Since then, Comer and Hanby has grown to sell over 14,000 different products and distributes to six states. Comer and Hanby is a general merchandise wholesale distributor serving the market area of Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Northern California, Idaho, and Montana. Freight is prepaid in our market area on orders of $500 or more and $1500 or more in Alaska. We can sell to resalers and will ship anywhere outside our market area in the continental United States, however freight would be FOB in Seattle. 75% of our business is everyday merchandise, and 25% is seasonal merchandise which includes Back to School, Christmas, Easter, Valentines, Summer, Mother's Day, and Father's Day. The bulk of our business is with independent drug, grocery, and chain stores. All merchandise listed on the following pages is warehoused at our facility in Seattle. Our regular terms are 1% 15, net 30. |
